John Michael Mann, aged 68, died peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his home.
He was born on September 22, 1956, in Elkhorn, WI. He was a 1975 graduate of Elkhorn Area High School and served in the US Army. He loved to tell stories from when he was stationed as a MP at Fort Ord on Monterey Bay, CA. Hospitality was his passion. He worked in resorts, hotels, and restaurants from northern WI to the Chicago area throughout his life.
He is survived by his two sons, Ross Aubrey Mann of Bend OR and Alex Tanner Mann of Hayward, WI, a daughter, Kali Judd of St. Paul, MN, many friends and loved ones and the staff and patrons of the Big Foot Inn where he was a server for 25 plus years. He will be missed more than he will ever know.
A memorial luncheon will be held at the Big Foot Inn on Saturday, October 5th at 11:30 am.
