John Lenz

On October 19, 2024, John Charles passed from the arms of his family into the arms of his Lord. Born August 14, 1946 in Rice Lake Wisconsin to Milton and Kathryn Lenz, John grew up in Shell Lake with much of his youth spent on the lake by the same name. He graduated from Shell Lake High School and the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. After graduation John served his country in the United States Marines. He returned to graduate school for a Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation, which he used in his life career as a vocational counselor helping people with disabilities.
On June 3, 1977 he married Bobbie and together they created a family based on love and faith. It is by this family he will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. They include his wife of almost 48 years, Bobbie, son Todd and wife Tricia, daughter Kari and husband Jamie, granddaughter Becca and husband Charlie, granddaughter Allie and husband Aaron, grandson Luke, grandson Payton, grandson Josh and great-grandsons Callan and Maxwell. He is also survived and well-loved by his sister Karen and husband Kerm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Classic Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care of John and his family in his final days.
Honoring John’s wishes funeral services will be private for family with Brian Quade officiating.
