John Berg

John T. Berg, 70, of Eau Claire passed away August 30, 2024.  John was born in Eau Claire, WI on March 3, 1954, to Barbara (Dupont) and John Berg. He graduated from North High School in 1972.

He met and married Mary Miller on September 6, 1975 and they had two children, Amanda and Cory.

John spent the majority of his career working for Northwest Wholesale, Walgreens and Apria Healthcare where he managed warehouses and delivered home healthcare equipment; he retired in 2018.

In his younger years John loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, he spent countless weekends with his brothers and son either out on the water or in the woods. John also enjoyed camping and watching his WI teams, the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. John was a dog lover and had 2 special Weimaraner’s over the years, Buddy and Abby. After retirement John found the most joy in his three grandchildren, Callie and Cruz Berg and Ruby Lee who lovingly referred to him as Boppy.

John is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Amanda Lee; son, Cory (Nicole); three sisters Teri, Tammy and Tanya (Dan); three brothers, Jerry (Leanne), Tom (Cindy), and Jack (Jamie); as well as countless nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Berg and his son-in-law Brandon Lee.

A celebration of John’s life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s name may be directed to the Humane Society or a local charity of your choice.
