Joanne E. Werner, age 75 of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Eau Claire. She was born on April 9, 1948 in Baldwin to the late John and Harriet Prause.
Joanne married Robert “Bob” Werner in Eau Claire in 1973. They were married almost 50 years.
She enjoyed fishing, staying at their camper on Big Chetek Lake in Birchwood, Brewers baseball, wintering in Florida and playing games on her phone.
Mostly, she liked family events and spending time with her grandkids.
Joanne is survived by her husband Bob; sons: Brian (Cheri) and Jamie (Angie); daughter Joleen Loney (Donnie Niblett); grandchildren: Jon, Austin, Ashley, Maverick and Jaxon; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bruce (Jeanette) Prause and Donnie (Chris) Prause; and sister Linda Lomblo.
Preceding her in death are her parents and brothers: Jack, Jerry, Ronnie, David and Howard.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Inurnment will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner at a later date.
