Joanne Marie (Christenson) Forcier, went to be with the Lord and those she has missed on May 16th, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 82.
Joanne was born on July 6, 1938 to Jennings and Grace (Leque) Christenson in the town of Galesville, WI.
In December of 1955 Joanne married Gene Olstad and to this marriage came their five children. Joanne tragically lost her husband to a farming accident in 1977. In 1983 Joanne remarried an amazing man, Donald Olson, whom she also tragically lost to cancer in 1995. In 2008 she married Daniel Forcier.
Joanne worked as a shoe box maker, a dairy farmer, the head of dietary at the Osseo Hospital, at The Hulett’s Oasis, and part time in the kitchen at the school before she finally retired. Joanne enjoyed spending time with her five children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an amazing mother and grandma, her family was the most important thing in her life and nothing made her happier than listening to her loved ones tell stories and to laugh, which Joanne had one of the best of. She also enjoyed dancing specifically the hop polka, doing her puzzles, ceramics, baking the best cookies, and watching Days of Our Lives.
Joanne is survived by her sons; Ricky (Lisa) Olstad of New Bern North Carolina, Daniel (Tamera) Olstad of Osseo, and David (Roxanne) Olstad of Blair; Her daughters, Kari Olstad of Pigeon and Brenda (Randall) Hulett of Osseo; Her grandchildren, Tina (Marcus) Harmer, Lyndsey (Ethan) Stendahl, Dylan (Alexes) Evenson, Matthew (Kayla) Hulett, Gina (Chris) Noethe, JoAnna (Noah McCune) Hulett, and Chelsea Olstad. Her great-grandchildren, Collin, Averie, Harper, Laurel, Aubrey, Maddie, Westonn, Havyn, and Hudsyn. Her sister Bonnie, brother Ronald, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and Dan.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, eight younger siblings, her two beloved husbands, and her great- granddaughter Anna Rae.
Joanne’s family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice team, her home care workers, and special friend Julie for helping to keep her at home and comfortable until she went to be with Jesus and her loved ones awaiting her arrival in Heaven.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Monday May 24th, 2021 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osseo, WI with Joanne’s pastor Terry Lorenz officiating. Friends can call from 10:00am-12:00pm with services beginning at 12:00pm with a reception to follow.
