Jim W. Robinson, age 75 of Thorp, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 with the company of family and friends at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born on December 22, 1948 to David and Ilene Robinson.
He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
Jim had a great sense of humor (his I.T. jokes) and he enjoyed hiking (the long way), fishing, hunting and the outdoors. “No matter where you go, there you are.”
Jim is survived by his sons: Jim Robinson Jr. and David Robinson; daughter Cherie Robinson; grandchildren: Sky Robinson, Jakob Parker and Jane Doerr; 1 great-grandson Jaxon Parker; siblings: Joe, David Jr. “Jerry”, Tim, Ruthanne Przybilla and Jeannie Bates; longtime girlfriend Karen Peterson; and many friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents David and Ilene, and siblings Jack Robinson and Kim Przybilla.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
