Jean R Nieman, 81, formerly of Athens, completed her life’s journey on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Copperleaf Memory Care, Schofield after an extended struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Jean was born in Delafield Wisconsin to the late Wilbur and Grace Morse. She graduated from Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin. Love of her family was at the core of our mother. Whether it was buying special gifts for her young nieces and nephews using her babysitting money as a teenager, making special cakes for her children or spoiling her grandchildren, Jean put her family first and loved unconditionally. Her love of family began early as the fourth child of 10 siblings and continued with her 5 children. Jean was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was proceeded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Grace Morse, siblings Jack, Joan, Jim, Judy, Jerry and Jeff, and her daughter Mildred Schoenrock.
She is survived by her husband, John Niemann; her children: Erwin (Kim) Schoenrock Jr. Athens, WI, Paul Schoenrock, Mosinee, WI, Lori (Ken) Lenhard, Athens, WI, Kurt (Laura) Schoenrock, Weston, WI; Grandchildren: Craig Schoenrock, Wausau, Courtney Schoenrock, Marshfield, Kira (Ryan) Giese, Wausau, Paul Schoenrock Jr., Danielle Schoenrock, Brandon Schoenrock, Matheu Schoenrock, Timothy Schoenrock, Ashlee Schoenrock all of Athens, WI, Susie Schoenrock, Chicago, IL, Cassandra (Jesse) Spalding, Minneapolis, MN, Brian Lenhard, Eau Claire, WI, Elizabeth Lenhard, Green Bay, WI, Braeden Schoenrock, Ava Schoenrock of Weston, WI; Great Grandson Brantley Zimmerman, Marshfield, WI; and Great Grandaughter Echo Schoenrock, Athens. She is further survived by her brother Jay Morse and sisters Joyce Pavions and Jill Dickerson.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson St, Weston, WI 54476. Come share your favorite story or memory, look at pictures starting at 10. Services at 11:00 a.m. Meal to follow at the home of Kurt and Laura Schoenrock, immediately following services.
