Jason Myers, age 47, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2025. Born on February 2, 1978, Jason lived a life filled with passion and dedication.
Jason found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening, the excitement of racing and the tranquility of model trains and fishing. His athletic spirit shone brightly during his high school years, where he excelled in football and wrestling. Known for his competitive drive, he always made his presence felt on the football field. He generously shared his passion for wrestling by serving as the Assistant Wrestling Coach at Altoona High School after graduating. Jason dedicated countless hours to youth wrestling in Eau Claire and Altoona, mentoring and inspiring young athletes. His dedication was rewarded by seeing four of his former students achieve Wisconsin High School State Championships. He also shared a love for racing with his brothers and was a key member of brother Brett's pit crew from the beginning. Jason had a love and strong passion of cooking and feeding friends, family, and neighbors. He loved to learn and try new foods along with creating his own recipes or putting his spin on dishes which he would test out on his wife, son, and neighbors.
A devoted husband and father, Jason leaves behind his beloved wife of 20 years, and friend since grade school, Rachel, and his cherished son, Alex, age 16. Their memories of him will be forever treasured. He is also survived by his loving parents, Linda and Max Myers; his brothers and their families: Brandon Myers and Lisa Ihenacho of Woodbury, MN, Joe and Kirsten Myers of Fall Creek, WI, and Brett and Amber Myers of Eau Claire, WI. Jason held a special place in the hearts of his nieces, McKenzie, Jade, Madison and Maci, and his nephews, Dayne, Cole, Evan, Braden, Andrew, Blake, and Jonas. Jason also will be missed by many family members and friends.
Jason will be fondly remembered for his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His remarkable ability to diagnose and repair vehicles was a testament to his practical skills and problem-solving nature. He was a man of action, always ready to assist friends and family. His warm smile, generous spirit and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life to honor Jason's memory will be at the Brickhouse Pub and Grub in Eau Claire on March 29th from 1-5 pm.
