Janis M. Thelen, age 78, of Altoona, Wisconsin, died May 15, 2017.
Janis was born December 8, 1938, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of Theodore and Julianne Haskin. She was proud to call Altoona home and participated in Altoona Women’s Club, and many church and volunteer activities.
Janis is survived by her four children, Joy Walker (Steve), Jon (Jennifer), Jeff (Suzanne), and Jay (Lisa); grandchildren, Angela, Arianne, Caitlyn, Morgan, Tyler, Brittney, Logan, Ethan, Zachary, Jacob, Alyssa, Travis, Alexis, Nicole, Parker; and one brother, David Haskin.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William.
Janis was known for her kindness and sweetness. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
