James Hohman
August 4, 1968 — March 1, 2024
James Jon Hohman “Jimmy Jon, Jim”, beloved Son, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, died after a fatal Heart Attack at the age of 55 on March 1, 2024 in Eau Claire, WI. James was born at Offutt Air Force Base in Sarpy County, NB on Aug. 4, 1968. He was the son of Mary Le Anne Johnson and Fredric James Hohman.
James leaves behind his mother Le Anne Hohman; beloved wife Angela Hohman; daughters Ashley (Chris) Brott and Hannah (Benjamin) Trott; grandchildren Bentley, Berkley and expected baby Trott. He also leaves behind his brother Michael (Stacy) Hohman and sisters Kathi Hohman and Danielle (Kenneth) Moore and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Fredric James Hohman and his son Michael James Hohman. He loved all his family more than life itself.
James was a graduate of Altoona High School, class of 86’ and quickly joined the United States Army. He received the Army Service Ribbon as a qualified sharp shooter and certified plumber. James was a very talented graphite artist and after trying on many hats, he settled into a career as a talented carpenter and builder with many versatile skills.
James is most well-known for his big smile, positive attitude, kindness, enormous heart, and extremely hard work ethic. He brought light and joy to all around. His smile and laugh will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2245 Hayden Ave., Altoona with Pastor Tim Stein officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
