Jacob Sluga
October 9, 1990 — September 7, 2024
Jacob Aaron Sluga, 33, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin went to heaven on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at his and his mom’s home
Jacob came into this world on October 9, 1990, to his parents Leslie Allen Sluga and Margaret (Peggy) (Huson) Sluga in La Crosse, WI. He came into this world a “a fighter” described by his neonatal doctors. He was born premature at 4 lbs. 3 oz. and yet grew into the stature of a 6’1” brown-eyed handsome man with a pure, kind, and gentle spirit. His heart touched the lives of Dad, Mom and his brothers Michael and Robert in ways no words can express as Jacob’s love for his family was boundless. His smile was the biggest in the room as he spent time with family and friends. Hanging out with Lucas playing competitive sports videos, long night talks with Lindsay, catching up with nieces Albrey, Maybri, and Zillian living their fast-paced lives. He loved going to his nephew and nieces’ events plus all our holiday and cherished family times together. These are only a small portion of his time with some of his favorite people. There is not enough ink or paper to list the time he spent with family and friends. His mind was like a computer when it came to analyzing sports games, statistics or how the game unfolded play-by-play. His Dad said, “Honey, I think you gave birth to a genius”. His brothers and I agreed early on his dad was correct. He was an avid sports fan who loved Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Nascar Rusty Wallace. His hugs felt like “home”. His smile and laugh filled the room as “our gentle giant” spread unconditional love to everyone.
He graduated from Whitehall Memorial High School in 2009 and took several classes at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC), Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Our incredible loss of our joyful beloved Jacob has left a hole in our hearts and lives. We will never be the same. He changed us…. for the good
He is lovingly survived by his mother, Peggy Olevson, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, brothers; Michael Sluga, of Jackson, WI, and Robert (Lindsay) Sluga, of Chippewa Falls, WI; nephew and nieces, Lucas, Albrey, Maybri, and Zillian. Jacob’s motto: Live blessed, not stressed.
He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Valleybrook Church, 412 S. Barstow St. Eau Claire, WI 54701.
