Irene Cardinal

Irene Margurite Cardinal, 95, of Eau Claire, died October 1, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire.

She was born on March 12, 1923 in Eau Claire, WI to the late Joseph and Emma (Greening) Muszynski.

Irene did some work in ordinance but spent much of her life working at Uniroyal in Eau Claire. When she wasn’t working she greatly enjoyed traveling out west, and being active in the Eau Claire Archery Club winning many medals, with her late husband George. They even enjoyed just cruising around town in their Model-A Ford. Irene also enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard work, and just spending time with her family. They were very giving, even to give up there wants to help others.
She is survived by; step-son, Roger (Rebecca) Cardinal of Chippewa Falls; siblings, James Muszynski of Colfax, Ronald (Marlys) Muszynski of Elk Mound, and William (Elaine) Muszynski of Elk Mound; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband George who passed away December 27, 1997.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, George Cardinal; siblings, Jessie Haas, Chuck Muszynski, Imogene Jean Muszynski, John ‘Johnny’ Muszynski, Frank Muszynski, Donna Morgan, and Rose Rude; as well as many other relatives.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elk Mound, Wi. Friends may visit one hour prior to service at Church. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Church Cemetey.
