Gloria Klopp

Gloria Y. Klopp, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 16, 2024. She passed away peacefully at Beehive Homes in Eau Claire with her family by her side. Gloria was born on September 15, 1932 in Eau Claire, WI to Andrew and Margaret (Weese) Christenson.
She married Everett “Red” Klopp on September 16, 1950 in Eau Claire, WI. They were married for 69 years until Everett passed away in 2019. She invested much of her life’s work with National Presto Industries and Syverson Lutheran Home where she made many life-long friendships. She always enjoyed the trips her and Red made to Florida in the winter months, and getting together for lunch and conversation with friends. Gloria was a faithful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She very much cherished the time spent with her family.
Gloria is survived by her children, Janie Wilken, Rick Klopp, and Deb Cowell all of Eau Claire and Pam (Mike) Mathews of Tulsa, OK, 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is further survived by sister-in-law, Nancy Christenson and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; parents; infant daughter, Jeannie Lynn; sisters, Betty Seeley and Phyllis Modl; brothers, Harold, Earl, Richard and John Christenson; sisters-in law, Catherine Christenson and Barbara Christenson; brothers-in-law, Winton Seeley and Eugene Modl; son-in-law, Steven Wahl.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, June 4 from 4-7 PM at Stokes, Prock, and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or a charity of your choice in memory of Gloria.
