Gary Moore

Gary Jon Moore, Jr., age 29, of Oshkosh, WI passed away at home on Monday, August 16, 2021. Gary was born to Debra Jean Moore and Gary Jon Moore, Sr. on July 17, 1992. He was raised mainly in the Oshkosh, WI area, and also spent the majority of his life living in the area.

Gary, also affectionately called “Junior” or "Big June" by many of his close family and friends, was preceded in death by his mother Debra Moore, his father Gary Moore Sr., and his brother Joseph Moore. He is survived by a half-sister Jennifer O’Neill of Wyoming, his “Auntie” Jenny and uncle Bob Moore, close friends who loved and embraced him as family after the loss of his parents and brother, and also many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Gary most recently was employed laying underground cable, and always preferred working in the outdoors to spending his days inside. He loved fishing, and especially enjoyed the sense of peace and calm while waiting patiently for that next bite. A point of pride for him was his native American heritage, with which he identified strongly. He had a great love for children, and enjoyed being “uncle” to the children of his closest friends. His greatest wish was to have a family and children of his own, and he was very excited to be expecting his first child, a son, in January of 2022 with Britany Behring of Fond du Lac, WI.

Junior had a great sense of humor and fun, and a gentle, kind, and generous spirit with those who knew him best. After going through many hardships in his life, Junior was striving towards becoming his best self, and he brought much happiness into so many of our lives. Thank you to all who provided encouragement and support to him as he was working to make those life changes. Junior will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is finally reunited with his mother, father and brother in heaven.

There will be a small memorial for Gary for close family and friends at a later date.
