Edwin (Eddie) Albert Geske passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 7, 2023.
Eddie was born December 21, 1928, second born of Erna (Seig) and Albert Geske and grew up on his parent’s dairy farm and attended Fall Creek Valley (one-room) Country School.
Eddie met Shiela (Christ) and they were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, WI. They started a family while working on the Geske dairy farm. Years later they moved to Eau Claire, WI where Eddie took on many jobs working maintenance and construction. Eddie also worked for The Graziano Family at the Eau Claire Raceway and Pine Edge Trailor Park. Eddie then worked at Kwik Kafe Coffee as a service technician and played a significant role in the Uniroyal Tire Factory transformation. Eddie continued to work side jobs well into his retirement years as he enjoyed staying busy.
Eddie had many interests, including history, reading, football, fishing and listening to the news. He was the jack of all trades and could fix anything and everything. Many fond memories were created during summer vacations he spent at the Chetek Chain O’Lakes fishing with his adult children and grandchildren. Eddie’s quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to many and he will be dearly missed.
Eddie is survived by his loving children: son Matthew (Dawna) of Monroe, NC, son Jon (Kimberly) of Murrieta, CA, daughter Loretta O’Neal of Duncan, SC, daughter Lisa Long of Johnson City, TN, son Timothy (Regina) of Crouse, NC, and sister Lucille Henning of Fall Creek, WI.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Kimberly, Christopher, Amy, Josh, Xena, Katharine, Nicholas, Travis, Trent, Timothy Jr; and six great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his infant grandson Zachary Long, his brother Frederick (Fritz) Geske, his parents Erna and Albert Geske.
