Duane V. “Butch” Welch, age 81 of Elmwood, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 9, 1942 in Durand to the late G. Vaughn and Helen Welch.
Butch was a family man that always put them first. Some of his favorite things were hunting, swimming at Welch’s Point, Packers, playing board games with family, making homemade ice cream every Christmas. He farmed and drove semi-truck.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lila; daughters: Tina Keeley, Staci McIntyre, Angie Welch and Kari Welch; 5 grandchildren: Dana, Lindsay, Brooke, Kaleb and Bronson; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, sisters Gwen Richardson and Betty Tsao, and son-in-law Tim Keeley.
A private family service will be held.
