Douglas Wetterling

Douglas Paul Wetterling, age 68 of Eau Claire, lost his battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis on April 25, 2024. He was born on May 28, 1955 in Iowa City, Iowa. He grew up in rural Wisconsin and graduated from Bruce High School in 1974.
Doug held many different jobs in his life and as his disease progressed, he had to adapt his employment to fit in with his physical limitations which led to delivering the Eau Claire Leader Telegram and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. He enjoyed the newspaper route and getting to know his customers.
He enjoyed many hobbies such as cooking, reading, writing poetry and art. He always loved an excellent cup of coffee and a good book. He loved animals of all kinds. His fur babies were his closest companions and always with him.
Doug is survived by mother Sharon, four sisters and many extended family. Preceding him in death are his father Raymond and his two brothers.
