Douglas Thompson

Douglas “Doug” Jerome Thompson, age 60 of Eau Claire, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 13, 2023.

He was born on November 18, 1962 in Eau Claire to the late LeRoy and Mary Ann (Kromrey) Thompson and received his GED from North High School.

Doug worked at Ship Shape Car Wash for 28 years and later worked for 3 years at Clearwater Car Wash.

Doug was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He enjoyed going to Burger King Car Shows, flea markets, antique stores, Pioneer Days, family gatherings and collecting C.D.s.

Doug is survived by his brother Steve (Brenda) Thompson and their children: Walter Thompson and Holly (Tucker) Anderson and their children: Jotun and Thora; half siblings: Duane (Caroline) Thompson and their children, and Elaine (Jerry) Heebink and their children; and his half sister-in-law Barb Thompson and her daughter Sheila.

Preceding him in death are his parents and half-brother Duke Thompson.

There will be a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Lakeview Cemetery on Cameron St. in Eau Claire. Friends and family are welcomed to attend.
