Diane Marie Lang
Diane Marie Lang died on Monday August 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born at home in Holcombe, Wisconsin on April 2, 1946, to Robert and Esther (Elhert) Paulsen. She grew up and attended and graduated school in Holcombe, Wisconsin and ventured out to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a nanny. Diane married the love of her life and soul mate Thomas Walter Lang on July 17, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell, Wisconsin. She shared a beautiful life with Tom, raising 4 girls in Eau Claire. Diane was active with the Eau Claire YMCA living a healthy lifestyle, biking there and home and enjoyed any exercise, her favorite being Zumba. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and their families, her sisters, brothers, and friends. She was a wonderful mother and caretaker for both young and old throughout the years. Her career in the later years was spent working for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, which ultimately took her life 4 years after a traumatic brain injury.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Luna (Josh Weeden) Lang, Kristen (Pat) Cieslak, Heidi (Andy) Warner, and Stephanie (fiancé Mike Maier) Lang; her grandchildren, Tylene, Mya, Patrick, Larz, Joseph, Raina, Judah, and Kylee; her great-grandchildren, Zuri, Reggie, Avianna, Louie Marie, and Adalynn; her sisters & brothers-in-law, Nancy (Cork) Hickethier, Becky (Jim) Lipke, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Vicky) Paulsen, Tom (Linda) Paulsen and sister-in-law Char Paulsen; her brothers-in-law Gene Lang ,Jr. and Jim (Jennifer) Lang; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lang; her son, Daniel Brian Lang; her parents; her father-in-law Gene Lang, Sr; her mother-in-law Dorthea (Hovland) and Eddie Westerberg; her sister Bobbi and brother-in-law Brad Bauer; her brothers, Larry, Lynn, and Dave Paulsen; her sister-in-law Marianne Lang; her brothers-in-law Ricky, Mike, and Peter Lang. Our mother had a special relationship with each of her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She has joined our Dad; her loving husband and they are both sorrowfully and truly missed.
