Diana M. Nelson, age 62 of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. Diana was born on June 12, 1962 in Eau Claire to James and Janet (nee Flint) Rumphol.
She graduated from North High School and worked at Mayo Clinic Health System as a cook for over 25 years.
Diana married Alex Nelson of Augusta in 1988. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, going to the casino with Alex, and her dog Steve. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Alex; children: Andrea (Jon) Macholl, Justin and Kyle Nelson; grandchildren: Dean and Arlo Macholl; mother Janet Rumphol; siblings: Ken (Shelly) Rumphol, Sheri (Brad) Sorenson, Jim (Brenda) Rumphol, and Kevin Rumphol; brothers-in-law: Dan (Becky) Nelson and Mitch Nelson. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death is her father James and in-laws Sammy and Marie Nelson.
A celebration of life will be held at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona on Saturday, November 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
