Dennis Murphy

Dennis Patrick Murphy, 76, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023, at Oakwood Health Services in Altoona, WI.

He is preceded in death by many loved ones but most significantly his parents: T. Kenneth & Julia Murphy; and his loving wife, Martha C. (Mathews) Murphy.

He is survived by his children: Kevin Murphy, Kathleen Murphy (Chad Ostrum) and Julia Murphy-Antczak (Mathew Antczak); and grandchildren: Kayla, Emmalyn, Elaina, Griffin, Liliana and Greyden; and great grandchildren: Acacia, Geneva and Cypress; and siblings Terry Murphy, Patrick (Jeanne) Murphy and Sharon (Richard) Gries.

Dennis was an ornery Irishman who enjoyed his food & drink for sure, but he was most at peace fishing and hunting. His greatest treasures on this earth were his wife, children and grandchildren. His family brought him a great amount of joy and pride.

He always said he didn’t want to be in a nursing home, and he meant it! The day he checked in was the day he died. Well played, “Murph”!

His amazing sense of humor, mischievous grin and never-ending side eye will truly be missed.
