David A. Curfman, age 46 of Eau Claire, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Barron County. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota the first son of Kenneth and Cheryl Curfman.
Dave served our country proudly in the United States Marines and the National Guard. He was honorably discharged. Dave met Georgia “Desiree” Johnson in 1995 and they married in 2001. He was employed as a police officer on the Eau Claire Police Department from 2002 until his passing.
He is survived by his true love Georgia “Desiree”; parents Kenneth and Cheryl Curfman; brother Daniel (Theresa) Curfman; sister-in-law Gwyneth (James) Linton; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents Everett and Alma Curfman; maternal grandma Lillian Volk; maternal grandpa Ralph Volk and an uncle James Volk.
Being a very detailed person, he encouraged others to do the best they could. He was a great listener and teacher who enjoyed helping others. His passion was being on the water musky fishing. Dave had many trips to Canada and to Algoma, WI to fish. He had given up on golfing and hunting to spend more time fishing. He taught Desiree everything there was about fishing. If there was a fishing expo, you could find him there spending time around the fishing community. He also liked watching hockey, whether in person or on the TV, eating at Famous Dave’s and going to the range to shoot.
He will be greatly missed by many.
