David G. Beck, age 95 of Neillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Clark County Rehab & Living Center. David was born on August 15, 1928 in Peckville, PA to the late George and Nellie (Gendall) Beck.
He received his education in Blakely, PA. David was united in marriage to Shirley Karpinski on November 27, 1947 in Blakely. Shirley passed away on December 3, 2008. After marriage, they resided in Matawan and Morganville, NJ where he worked for Nappi Trucking Co. in New Jersey. In 1974, they moved to Neillsville to live out his childhood dream of owning and operating a dairy farm. When David retired, he enjoyed selling his vegetables at the farmers markets.
David was a tinkerer, especially with engines. He was an engineer in his own right. He had a passion for animals, always donating to the humane association. David belonged to the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.
He is survived by his children: Virginia (Charles) Biggs, George (Linda) Beck, Phillis (David) Brey, Kip (Cheryl) Beck, Richard (Susan) Beck and Jof (Marie) Beck; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Shirley, parents, 3 siblings and daughter-in-law Margie.
Private graveside services will be held at the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Town of Christie, Clark County.
Donations may be made to a humane association of one’s choice.
