Davey Alton Rongholt, 72, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his home. He was born on November 4
th
, 1951 to Alton D. Rongholt and Helen M. Rongholt.
Davey was an avid sports enthusiast and loved any outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing and golfing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Davey spent most of his career working for Auto Glass Specialists and retired from there a few years ago.
Davey is survived by his loving Godfather and Uncle and Aunt, Jim and Lois Anderson of Eleva, his Godmother Betty Wehrenberg of Eau Claire and his Special Godson Matthew Payne of Strum and many cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Alton and Helen), uncles, aunts and cousins.
Over the last years, Davey was loved and cared for by his two cousins, whom he always referred to as his sisters, Jill Larson (Kevin) and Jamie Nichols (Tom).
They had such a special bond that most people never get to experience in their lifetime. Jill and Jamie miss him terribly. They know he is now doing what he loved the most, accompanied by his dogs, Twin and Brace, that he cherished. RIP Davey.
The family would like to Thank Karen Goike, John Folstad, and Davey’s cousin Scott Bjorgo for their help, love and support given to Davey. Visiting Angels were also especially important in Davey’s care.
Davey will be laid to rest at a later date.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 23 rd from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Hobbsy & Me, 3620 Locust Lane, Eau Claire, WI 54703. We will share memories of Davey and enjoy some of his favorite treats.
