Malvern Danny Robertson

May 31, 1948 — April 26, 2024

Malvern Danny Robertson, age 75, of Ladysmith WI, passed away on April 26, 2024 in the care of Hope Hospice.

Danny was born on May 31, 1948, in Martinsville VA, to Malvern Dean Robertson, and Grace Garnett (Ferguson) Robertson. He graduated from Bassett High School in Bassett, VA in 1966, where he played football and was on the swim team. Danny then joined the Army, was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany and served for two years as an engineer. After his military service, Danny pursued a career in merchandising and apparel, working at Tultex Corporation in Martinsville VA, Logo Athletic in Indianapolis, IN, Blue Dolphin Designs in Pensacola, FL, Artisans in Glen Flora, WI, and Barco Uniforms in Los Angeles, CA.

Growing up, Danny spent many summers on his grandparent's tobacco farms in Virginia, making childhood memories. Over the years, Danny enjoyed competitive sporting clay and pistol shooting, hunting excursions with friends, maintaining his properties in Virginia and Ladysmith, taking road trips, international travels, and reading, especially books with World War Il content.

Danny was a loving husband to his wife Lu Ann, and a loving father to his children, Cheryl (Barry) Priddy of Martinsville, VA, Dan (Kelly) Robertson of Collinsville, VA, and Elizabeth (Kyle) Ceuninck of Atlanta, GA. Survivors also include his brother Jerry (Judy) Robertson of Bassett, VA, a sister Twyla (Dave) Reinig of Albuquerque, NM, his grandchildren Grace, Cooper and Bear, and many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister Sherry.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. Dekrey's office, and the staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith, for Danny's initial care, and wish to express their deep appreciation to Hope Hospice, for the loving care and compassion shown to Danny, and for their unwavering support to his family. Thank you, also, to those who reached out in thought and prayer, and with offers to help in so many ways.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 537 W Broadway, Medford WI 54451.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.cremationsociety-wi.com
