Daniel Hannafin

Daniel(Dan) Hannafin, 75, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away at home on November 19, 2024.

Dan was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on August 23, 1949. He graduated from North High School and continued on to receive degrees in Psychology and English from UW-Eau Claire.

Dan was married to Shelly Hannafin on July 19, 1985 and in 1987 they had a daughter, Katie, who he loved immensely and was always very proud of. Dan and Shelly were married for over 39 years.

Dan worked for Eau Claire County for 43 years until his retirement in 2023. In his younger years he greatly enjoyed playing his bass guitar with several local bands.

Dan is survived by his wife Shelly Hannafin, daughter Katie(Quinn Evans) Hannafin of Inver Grove Heights, MN, brother in law Rick DeBord of Taylorsville, KY, sister-in-law Rhonda(Bob) Kunferman of North Carolina and other extended family members.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ovidia Hannafin and brothers Jeff and Jon Hannafin.

The family wishes to thank all of the medical staff at Mayo Clinic who cared for Dan over the years.

As per Dan's request no funeral or memorial service will be held and the family will hold a private celebration of his life.
