Colin Boor
January 4, 1963 — May 14, 2024
The extraordinary Colin Boor died in his home in the Town of Brunswick on May 14, 2024 after a decades-long battle with a severe case of epilepsy, Colin surrendered his body and went to be with God. Colin was born January 4th, 1963, and has lived and visited places all over the world until landing in the Chippewa Valley in his mid-20s. Colin spent the last 20 years in the care of REM Wisconsin where he was fortunate to have long-term, loving caregivers who treated Colin like family.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Boor Jr. who died when Colin was 12, and the thought of being reunited always put a smile on Colin’s face. He is survived by his mother Janet Boor who resides in Scotland, she helped Colin through the storytelling of his past which he enjoyed talking about. He is also survived by a brother, Michael, who resides in New Mexico and has always supported his little brother by sending family picture books from their youth that Colin always enjoyed looking at and sharing with his loved ones.
Everyone lucky enough to know Colin loved his tenacious attitude, his amazing smile, and his unwavering love for life.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at
