Bruce Allan “Dusty” Dickens
Bruce A. “Dusty” Dickens, age 58, died on Saturday, May 28, 2023 in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Bruce was born in Hastings, Minnesota on December 16, 1964 to Allan and Yvonne (Aude) Dickens. He graduated in 1983 from St. Croix Central in Hammond, Wisconsin. Growing up the family spent many weekends showing horses. Bruce and his horse “Handy” won many trophies and ribbons which led to winning the National and State Championship. After graduating high school, he briefly went into farming before going into trucking. Bruce started his trucking career with a variety of companies before owning his own trucking business called Dusty Roads Transportation. Bruce enjoyed many things including hanging out with friends and family, watching the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, old western movies, and tractor and truck pulls. He also enjoyed doing recovery work for Marten Transport and doing the beer account for Anheuser-Busch. He was always there to help anybody in need especially his brother, family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Yvonne; his brother, Adrian (Paula); his nieces, Stephanie and Samantha; his nephew, Derek; his great nieces, Kaylee and Avery; and his great nephews, William and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his father, Allan and his step-father, Jerry.
A Celebration of Life is planned at West Creek Event Center in Eau Claire, WI on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, a lunch will be provided.
The family would like to thank Barron Care & Rehab, Neighbors of Dunn and Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar for their excellent care.
Bruce will be greatly missed.
