Barbara Shafer

Barbara A. Shafer (Drager) of Marshfield, died Monday, January 13, 2025 comfortably at her residence in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Barbara was born April 1, 1956 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Louis W. and Vivian M.(Ableson) Drager.

On July 17,1981, Barbara married Allen Shafer of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. In the early 80s Barbara worked at the Career Development Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She also worked at Wisconsin lighting.

Barbara enjoyed putting puzzles together, doing puzzle books, and collecting M&M memorabilia. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived in death by her two sons, Timmy (Misty O'Neail) Shafer of Eau Claire and Rodney (Kayla) Shafer of Altoona; one daughter, Lisa (Frankie Thurmond) Shafer of Mondovi; brother Larry Drager; sisters Clarice Pashalian, Naomi Kestler, Loretta Salzeber, Susan Blasel, and Debra Liddle; 8 grandchildren (Andrew, Katie, Isaac, Emily, Victor, Savanna, Gordon, Nevaeh), and 5 great grandchildren (Layla, Tyler, Kalel, Paisley, Anna).

Barbara was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy; her parents; her brothers, Jacob and Allen Drager; and one granddaughter, Lilly Mae Noetzelmann.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
