Arthur (Art) Siddons of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield, WI.
Arthur Dean Siddons was born on August 2, 1944 to Vance and Louise (Hoepner) Siddons. He graduated from Huntington Park High School in Huntington Park, CA. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country through the Cuban Missile Crisis. He later returned to Chippewa Falls and on April 30, 1966, he married Charlotte Crandall and together they had three sons.
While residing in Chippewa Falls, Art worked many years at Johnson Monument setting stones and completing final date cuts on the monuments. In 1989, he started his own monument lettering business. He also owned and operated Chippewa Towing and plowed snow for many years. Art loved traveling and going to various racetracks throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin to watch his son, Todd, drive stock cars. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sons: Dean (Dawn) Siddons of Chippewa Falls, Brian (Elizabeth Peterson) of Chippewa Falls and Todd (Jenni Strama) of Hayward; grandchildren: Katelyn (Mitchel) Shervey, Nathan Siddons, Kyle Siddons, Sara Peterson, Megan (Jesse) Laher; great-grandchildren Annalee and Austin, and Mary Courtney; sisters and brothers-in-law: Nancy Halverson of Chippewa Falls, Mary and Gary LaNou of Chippewa Falls, Joy and Harry Nederbrock of Altoona, Chuck Card of Chippewa Falls and Nancy Whitcome of Eau Claire; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Art is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Wanda Nitz, Deanne Johnson, Char Card and Shirley Olson; brothers: Russell Siddons, Harrison Siddons and Gary Siddons.
Per Art’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
