Arick Tealey
June 28, 1948 — February 29, 2024
Arick Jon Tealey was born on June 28, 1948 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After many years of persevering through the challenges of dementia, he passed away peacefully at his home on February 29, 2024 with his beloved wife and family by his side.
Arick grew up in Eau Claire, attending the public schools until he graduated from Memorial High School in 1966. He went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Arick attended other campuses before graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater with a degree in English education.
During this time, he met his love, Connie and they were married in Madison in November of 1969. They started their married life while continuing to pursue their degrees. After graduating, they both worked as educators until Arick left the profession to establish his company, Tealey Forest Products. After many years in logging, he would later return to education, where he continued to have a positive impact on his students, many of whom have expressed appreciation for his mentorship and continued support. In his professional life, Arick always demonstrated a superior work ethic and empathy for other people.
Family was everything to Arick. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; two daughters, Elizabeth (Alex) Weir and Erica Tealey (Pablo Vazquez), as well as six grandsons: Peter, Ewan, Samuel, Javier, Leo and Nico.
