Anthony Hazen

Anthony “Tony” Oscar Hazen, 61 of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 due to a medical condition. He was born on October 12, 1962 to DeWayne and Joyce (Flaskrud) Hazen.
He had many talents; carpentry, woodcutting, mechanic. Tony enjoyed grilling, cooking, fishing, bow-hunting and other sports. In 1989, he worked for Steve Johnson, building the Hickory Hills Golf Course.
Tony married Julie Thompson; they had 4 daughters. He is survived by his mother Joyce Hazen; daughters: Amanda Thompson, Alisha (John) Schoengarth, Andrea (Tony) Woodruff and Amy Hazen; 11 grandchildren: Austin, Faith, Zoe, Haylie, Devin, Toni, Imani, Brayden, Isaiah, Ava and Aaliyah; his former wife Julie; brother Kevin (Dee) Hazen; sisters: Connie St. Martin (Mark), Christine Jordan and Angela Hazen; brother-in-law Dave Johnson; sister-in-law Nicola Hazen; aunts and uncles: Grace Haas, Marge Flaskrud, Clarence (Marles) Hazen, Betty Hazen, Sadie (Lenny) Odegard and Beverly Dohms. He is further survived by many special cousins, and friends Dan, Denise and Constance W.; and goddaughter Nicole.
Preceding him in death are his father DeWayne “Stub” (2014), sister Kimberly Johnson (2020), brother Gregory (2022), grandparents Oscar and Olga Flaskrud, Vian and Sadie Hazen, Steve Johnsen and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a short reflection and prayer with lunch to follow at the Valley Golf Club, S80 Golf Rd., Mondovi. Tony was the grounds keeper.
