Annette Baures
August 20, 1935 — March 27, 2024
Annette M. (Pfeiffer) Baures, 88, a resident of the Barrett House in Markesan passed away peacefully on March 27, with family by her side at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Annette was born on August 20, 1935 in Mattoon WI to Anton and Mary Pfeiffer. She graduated from Mattoon High School. Annette married Donald C. Baures on December 8, 1954. They moved to Phelps ,WI, then to Corvallis, MT and lastly settled permanently in Markesan, WI.
Annette worked as a CNA at Riverdale Manor. She was also employed as a bookkeeper at Midstate Foundry and Fabrico. She retired from Precision Metalsmith INC.
Annette enjoyed knitting and was an amazing seamstress. She was an avid reader and tech savvy. She liked traveling with family and friends. She enjoyed cheering on the Packers. She spent many years as a den mother for Cub Scouts.
Annette is survived by her son, Dale (Lily) Baures, daughter, Casi Murphy, and son, Donald P. (Sandy) Baures. She is further survived by Ben Baures, Daniel (Nichole) Murphy, Colin (Shannon) Murphy, Erin (Patrick) Wesley, Melissa (Ryan) Bellmann, Anthony (Brianne) Baures, and Brittany Baures. Annette was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren: Addison, Anya, and Asher Murphy, Cecilia Wesley, Landon, Colin, Caleb, and Logan Bellmann, Lola and Bernice Baures. She is also survived by her siblings, Julie (Allen) Zahn, Sue Osborn and Michael Pfeiffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, Anton and Mary Pfeiffer, her brother, James Pfeiffer, brother in laws Gary Doemel and Gary Osborn, son-in-law George Murphy and granddaughter, Heather Baures.
Per Annette's wishes, a private family gathering will take place.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Markesan Barrett House for truly making Annette feel at home. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Waupun Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care. In addition, we are grateful for the loving support of Steve, Mary Lynn, Sten, and Kristen Anderson.
