Anita Mae Jicha
Anita Mae Jicha, age 85 of Menomonie, WI, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Neighbors of Dunn County.
Anita was born on January 5, 1938, on a farm near Connorsville in Dunn County, WI to William and Helen (Miller) Dinnies. She was baptized on January 5, 1938, and later confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Connorsville, WI. Anita attended Best Valley Grade School and Boyceville High School.
She was united in marriage to Lyndon Schlough. This union was blessed with two children, Barbara and Michael. The marriage ended in divorce. She later married Dan Danberry and this union ended with his death after nearly five years of marriage. In 1991 Anita was united in marriage to Leonard Jicha. They enjoyed many miles of travel as they delivered Winnebago motorhomes throughout the United States. She also traveled along on many trips as Leonard drove tour buses. She worked at Fabritek in Amery, WI for 10 years and 3M Company in Menomonie, WI for 28 years before retiring in April 2003. Anita loved flower gardening, sewing, bowling, and reading. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and proud stockholder and season ticket-holder.
Anita is survived by her daughter Barbara (Randy) Dahms, son Michael (Carolyn) Schlough, grandchildren Heather (Joey Henke) Dahms, Nathan (Laurel) Dahms, Sara (John) Albers, and Jason (Sarah) Schlough; great grandchildren Piper, Amelia, Ella, Sadie, Lily, and J.J.; two step-daughters, Pamela (Francis) Davies and Laurie Lanza, and brother-in-law Warren “Pork” Olson. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, brother Steven, sisters Marianne Gilbertson and Carol Olson, and brother-in-law Clarence “Bud” Gilbertson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Stephen Hilding officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
