Andrea Boggess

Andrea Jane Boggess, of New Auburn, WI, passed away on Monday January 6, 2025 at the age of 82.

Andrea was born in Racine, WI on January 28, 1942 to Marvin and Pauline Cottingham. Her and her family moved up north where she graduated from Chetek High School in 1961.

On December 21, 1963 Andrea married the love of her life Ronald Boggess whom she was married for 61 years to and had 3 sons Patrick, Daniel and Larry.

In her life, she worked at Jerome's Turkey Store in Barron for 10 years but, she took great pride in being a mother and wife to her husband and kids as well. Andrea's favorite pastimes included putting together puzzles and doing word-finds. Her favorite hobby of all though would be craftwork. In her craft room, she made holiday and birthday cards, velvet Christmas stockings, beaded decorations and gifts for family and friends. She loved being next to a lake to fish if she could. She loved to bake. She was of the old ways of not measuring ingredients and rather eyeballed things to perfection. She loved being around family during the holidays and special occasions where you could be sure to hear her signature laugh while joking around.

Andrea is survived by her husband Ron; sons Patrick (Tina) of Spooner, Daniel (Uli) of Neudenau, Germany and Larry (Cindy) of Chippewa Falls; 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Jean Hughes; brothers Dale and Bob Cottingham; and grandson Austin.
