Alvina Corrine (Olson) Henning, 88, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, surrounded by her family, holding her hand as she took her final breath.

Born on April 4, 1936, on the family farm in Trempealeau County to Marvin and Bertha (Larson) Olson, Alvina was one of eight siblings. She grew up in the Osseo/Strum area, where she developed a love for family traditions.

Alvina was a loving mother and grandmother who held her family close to her heart.

She was the proud mother of 10 children, born from her marriages to John (Jack) Goss in 1953 and Lester Henning in 1969.

After retiring from Huebsch, Alvina devoted her time to hobbies such as gardening, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was known for her love of dancing, chocolate, desserts, and coffee. A proud Norwegian, Alvina enjoyed making Lefsa and Rosettes, which were always a family favorite.

Alvina always had a sweet treat ready for any visitor, and her love of baking brought warmth to everyone who stepped through her door. She also took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens, and we take comfort in knowing she's now tending to the most beautiful gardens in heaven.

She is survived by her children: Dixie Duffey, Cindy (Rick) Otto, Tom (Tammy) Goss, Steve (Jackie) Goss, Kim (Ron) Barnfield, Rick (Kris) Henning, Ann Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Rhonda; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Genevieve (Ron) and Dale (Judy).

Alvina was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Terry, and twins Ronald and Rodney; the fathers of her children, John (Jack) Goss and Lester Henning; and siblings, Marian, Roger, Gordon, Willard, and Jeanette.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice, Orchard Hills Assisted Living, and Chippewa Manor Rehab Center for their care and support.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:30 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at South Beef River Church, N12798 Cty Rd B, Osseo, WI.
