Aloys Prasnicki

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Aloys (Ollie) P. Prasnicki (85) on February 13, 2025. Aloys was born June 2nd, 1939, in Gilman, Wisconsin to John L. Prasnicki and Helen F. Prasnicki. He grew up in Forest Center, a small logging community in northern Minnesota. Upon returning to Wisconsin, Ollie held a variety of jobs including road construction for Mathy Construction and owning and operating Prasnicki Oil in Stanley. He also found enjoyment driving truck for Westaby Trucking out of Stanley and later retired from Sam's Club in Eau Claire. Ollie was fortunate to spend a large portion of his retirement near his childhood home in Isabella, Minnesota, before returning to live out his final years close to family in Altoona, Wisconsin.

Aloys is survived by his son Keith Prasnicki and wife Margaret of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; granddaughter Chelsea Lieffring and husband Zachery of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; great-granddaughter Bristol Lieffring of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; his brother Roger Prasnicki and wife Rosalin of Hope, Arkansas; his sister Julie Ernst and husband Lester of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and his sister Elizabeth Hyrkas of Simpsonville, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Prasnicki; his brothers, Stephen Prasnicki and Frank Prasnicki; and his sisters, Helen Laitinen and Rita Garni.

In accordance with Ollie's wishes, no formal service will be held. We invite you to celebrate the life and memory of Ollie in a way that feels meaningful to you.
