Allen V. Kreher, age 91 of the Town of Glencoe, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Grand View Care Center in Blair.
Allen was born on December 18, 1929 in the town of Glencoe to John and Lenora (nee Servais) Kreher. He married Marjorie Grossell on April 14, 1953. Together they had a dairy farm that they operated and over the years received numerous DHI awards. Allen loved his cows and animals. He and Marjorie would take a daily drive together. Every Sunday they would spend going to antique shops looking for moustache cups and buttons. He and Marjorie were inseparable. Sadly, she passed away on December 18, 2019.
He is survived by nieces and nephews: Sue Kreher, Janice Atkinson, Marilyn Gunderson (Godchild), Nancy Rohn, Carol Wald, Rose Dublin, Dale Blank, Bonnie Kirksey, Annette Smick, Maureen Smick, Kay Buckentin and Lee Smick.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Marjorie, sisters Arlene Blank and Phyllis Smick, brother LaVern, nephew Gerald Kreher and a godchild Jessica Kreher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 821 Lincoln St., Arcadia with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery.
