Alice A. Wall, age 76, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire. She was born on August 7, 1947 in LaCrosse, WI to the late Herman and Lila Schneider.
Alice met Mike Wall at his aunt’s home. It was during this time, Alice worked at Sacred Heart Hospital as a nurse’s aide. They got married in West Salem, WI on July 22, 1972 and took a trip around Lake Superior for their honeymoon.
She loved baking, sewing and crafts (especially making clothes for American Girl Dolls), craft shows and enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder. Most of all, her daughters and grandchildren meant everything.
When her girls were young, Alice was a volunteer in the First Grade at the Altoona Elementary for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Mike; daughters: Heather Akou and Heidi (Jeremy) Pickwall; grandchildren: Tristan, Keira, Jamilah and Khaliq; brothers: Randy (Robin) Schneider and Larry (Mary) Peterson; sisters: June (Jennie) Lewis, Bonnie (Kent) Weiman, Laurie (Charles) Kapke, Susan Schneider, Charlou (Joe) Hanson and Pamela (Leon) Rick. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, sister Myrtle Joyce Roden and brother John Schneider.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona.
