Abel Anthony Brantner
February 24, 2022 – July 12, 2022
Our precious sweet baby, Abel Anthony, beloved infant son of Evan Brantner and Destiny Rhodes of Eau Claire, passed away at home in his sleep on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Abel smiled and laughed throughout his 4 months and 18 days; bringing joy and happiness to every life he touched. He was enamored by bright colors, soft blocks and blankets, and loved to greet his family with his beautiful bright blue eyes, a huge smile and baby babble in the sweetest little voice. He had a very special bond with his grandmas, and he had his aunts and uncles wrapped around his little finger. He was cherished and incredibly loved by all, but none more than his parents. Rest peacefully in God’s hands Abel, until we meet again sweet love.
In addition to his parents, Abel is survived by paternal grandparents Heather Brantner of Eau Claire, Keith Brantner (Rachel) of Eau Galle; maternal grandparents Krystyna (Jamie) Hawkins of Eau Claire and Jacy Rhodes of Black River Falls; paternal great grandparents Kim and Keith Jacks of Durand and Shirley and Philip Brantner Jr. of Arkansaw; great-great (paternal) grandfather Dwight Caturia of Arkansaw; maternal great-great grandfather Thomas Conrad of Wisconsin Dells, great great-grandmother Roberta Coxs of Illinois and Carolann Domenico of Black River Falls; uncles and aunts on Evan’s side Kyle (Jillian), Alex (Lexy), Ajay, Makenna and Jace Brantner; uncles and aunts on Destiny’s side Maddie, Haven, Johnny & Devin Hawkins, Bella & Gabby Hemmingson, Serenity Acres, Jace, Damien & Wesley Rhodes and special friends Osalia & Leah Rodriguez and Brylnn Morrie; numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and many other family and friends who loved him beyond measure.
He was preceded in death by great-great grandparents (paternal) Robert (Bob) and Sharon Harmon, Philip Brantner Sr. and Alice Brantner, and Ollia Caturia all of Arkansaw, Calvin Jacks Jr. and Betty Jacks of Durand; (maternal) grandma Emma and great-great grandpa Jeff Coxs.
The family would like to thank the Eau Claire first responders and Mayo Clinic Health System for their efforts in trying to save our precious boy, as well as a special heartfelt thank you to Kyle Brantner and Jillian Filtz for being there for us, gathering information and running errands for us when our world had just been shattered.
Visitation will be at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel in Altoona on Tuesday, July 19th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with refreshments and a brief service immediately following. To honor Abel, the family requests that you please wear bright, colorful clothing. We wish to share and hold his memories dear and would love for you to join us as we celebrate his short life.
